Nuts have a natural protective layer that stops them from sprouting. This is how nuts are able to be stored for periods of time. This also makes them hard for the body to digest and absorb the goodness.
Once a nut is soaked for a period of time, the nut comes back to life making it more easily digested and the body can more readily absorb the nutrients. This is the activation process.
We soak our nuts in the purest filtered water for 48 hours.
Once the nut has been soaked, we gently dehydrate to remove excess water and bring the nut back to an enjoyable edible texture. The nut is still alive after this process.
The final process is a very quick, low temperature roast in our very special Organic, Extra Virgin coconut oil followed by a dust of Celtic sea salt. The combination of flavour is sensational!
Pecans and Almonds are the most nutrient dense nuts therefore an easy choice for this activation process. We also have a small family farm in the lower Hunter Valley of NSW where some of our Pecans are grown. We hope to grow more nuts in years to come.
All of our nuts come in 100gm Jars that are returnable to your place of purchase.
We assess, clean and sterilise the jars for reuse. We believe in minimal impact on the environment when it come to packaging and all of our packaging and labels are 100% plastic free and made from recycled materials! We even use natural ink in the printing of the labels.
